Every year, the senior editors of SAIS Perspectives recruit 2-3 editors who will commit to the continuing evolution of SAIS Perspectives as a publication addressing serious and provocative topics in international development, climate and sustainability. The editorial team will maintain the quality of the publication and support growth in its content and readership.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the international development space, whether at with NGO/non-profit, government, multilateral institution, or related entity.
Comfort with copy-editing academic and/or journalistic articles.
Keen eye for detail.
Basic understanding, or willingness to learn Squarespace website building platform.
Experience or interest in event planning is a plus.
Concentrating in Development, Climate and Sustainability is desired but not required.
To apply, please submit a résumé and a brief cover letter along with a proposal for the publication’s theme for next year. Theme suggestions should be limited to a few paragraphs (max. 600 words) and should include a supporting argument demonstrating the theme’s relevance to the field of international development, climate, and sustainability.
